Internationally recognized as one of the first biofeedback and behavioral medicine centers: The Biofeedback Institute has seen patients with stress related disorders for over 25 years.
Successfully treating problems such as migraine and tension headache, hypertension, and insomnia it has developed a reputation as both a clinic, training center and information clearing house. In addition, development of self-control techniques, use of peak performance skills training, and neuromuscular reeducation for stroke and paraplegia is offered.
The Institute has been on the forefront of the development of EEG Neurofeedback methods in the treatment of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Substance Abuse/Alcohol Addiction, and Closed Head Injuries. It is currently developing protocols for real-time brain mapping, portable monitoring, and applications to chronic depression.
